Item Donations

Proceeds from Culver's Live the Legacy auction sustain the Culver Fund, which supports Culver's outstanding academic programs, faculty, facilities, and scholarships. Nearly 1,000 individuals are expected to attend and participate during silent and live auction bidding. The success of the event depends on the support of hundreds of individuals and businesses donating items and experiences for the event, ranging from dinners at local restaurants to concert and sports tickets, getaways, unique experiences and activities, home goods, artwork, and more.

Need ideas of items to donate? Top-selling auction items include:

-Autographed sports and music memorabilia -Sports game/concert tickets and special experiences (such as private tours, backstage passes, meet the player/star, etc.) -Fine wine and spirits -Fine dining restaurant certificates -Getaways in hotels or vacation homes -Flight packages -Unique event experiences or activities -Family cultural experiences -Group activities for students and their friends to experience -Unique Culver accessories or memorabilia -Gourmet items -High-end homeware, gadgets, or sporting equipment

Tax Deductibility Donations are deductible for income tax purposes to the extent provided by law. Check with your tax adviser to determine the deductibility. The Culver Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. In accordance with current substantiation requirements for donors, if the total value of any item exceeds $5,000, the donor must obtain and provide a qualified appraisal. Donations become the property of the Culver Educational Foundation, and may be packaged with other donations for auction at the discretion of the auction committee.
